Only the Club's 2nd visit in recent memory at Bisley today for The McQueens Castle shoot, it was a huge success.

Very close competition at the top and very credible scores for our new shooters. Well done to everyone.
Post Script from John N : Thanks for the comment, but this event has now 'bedded in' such that my involvement is very modest, the real thanks goes to the guys and girl who ran it down in the butts, without their hard work the whole thing just wouldn't work.
Tuesday Pinewood shoots are cancelled for all Tuesdays between June 2nd and August 4th

The forthcoming consultation on merging section 2 (shotguns) into section 1 may not now happen. The word on the streets is that due to substantial push-back in the recent debate, this will now be shelved. However, it's likely that additional regulation around S2 will be added - whatever that might be.

The Running Deer Shoot on the British Sporting Rifle range at Bisley took place on Thurs May 28th.
6 people took part, and it was agreed that it was successful, enjoyed by all, and should be run again at some future date.
Points to note are as follows :
Maximum recommended attendance for a morning session is believed to be 8 people, this was a member-funded shoot, which works out at £150 split between all participants.
For those TFSA members who are also NRA members (there's quite a few) the NRA at Bisley are offering a 25% off deal for range hire on Tuesdays, subject to a few conditions, see Offers for details.
There are still several Shooter Certification cards awaiting collection, these will be left at Pinewood for collection.
